Coach Megan began her studio dance training at the age of two and continues to be an avid performer, having studied ballet, hip hop, tap, jazz, and musical theatre
Coach Megan began dancing at the age of three. Most of her training was at the Cary Performing Arts Centre, where she trained in Jazz, Ballet, and Hip Hop. She continued her studio training throughout High School, and was on the Cary Grove Dance team for four years. Dance competitions were her favorite aspect of dancing. She actually joined Premier Poms as a part time coach her senior year of high school. Unfortunately, Megan was only with us for a year before she moved away for college.
Megan continued dancing at Winona State University on the college Hip Hop dance team her freshman year. She also performed at the university’s spring showcase, performing lyrical, jazz, and hip hop pieces. While she was home during the summer, Megan taught technique classes for Premier to help our older dancers improve their technique during the off season.
Megan graduated this past winter with a Bachelors in Science of Nursing, and has accepted her first nursing position at Good Shepherd Hospital on the Medical Surgical Oncology Unit. We are very happy that Megan has returned this season as a head coach.
A quote Megan lives by is from Mother Theresa, “Spread love wherever you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.”
